Bridget’s bedroom:
Bridget’s bedroom had become a “floor-drobe” with clothes and shoes all over the floor. Bridget had switched jobs and worked from home so lots of clothes were no longer needed.
How I helped:
- Decluttered clothes no longer needed
- Created space in wardrobe & drawers for current clothes
- Categorised large jewellery collection into ear rings, necklaces and sets
- Sorted and found homes for all items on all the floor
After I left…
Bridget’s wardrobe doors and drawers shut properly, the floor was clear and the room felt bright and airy. Bridget was very happy with her organised bedroom and it felt like a burden had been lifted from her shoulders.
Penny’s kitchen:
Penny lived in a flat with an open plan layout and worked from home with clients visiting to attend workshops. Her compact kitchen, which was on view to clients, was bursting at the seams.
How I helped:
- Decluttered out of date food items e.g. herbs, cans etc..
- Provided advice about food buying/stock control
- Re-organised storage of cooking equipment & food
- Organised baking ingredients & equipment into a “baking station”
- Created streamlined and clutter free work surfaces
After I left…
Penny was thrilled with her neat, tidy and organised kitchen and felt she could cook more often as she actually enjoyed being in the kitchen again. She also felt more relaxed knowing that just a quick tidy was all that was needed when clients came over.
Simon’s garage:
Simon’s garage was crammed full with a mixture of items that needed decluttering, re-organising, recycling or throwing! It had been on his “to do” list for a long time and he just could not find the time to blitz it!
How I helped:
- Sorted all items to go to the tip, hired a van to clear the rubbish
- Organised items to be stored in clear boxes with labels
- Clothes that needed to be stored were sealed up to protect from moisture
- Tidied and organised all items to be stored for easy access
After I left…
Simon could finally walk around in the garage and find things easily. Now that the floor was clearer he could even use the space to complete a DIY job out of the rain or store other items from the house that are rarely used.
In the process, what would have been an extremely arduous task turned out to be rewarding (The results at the end of each day are astounding) and even fun, and this is entirely down to Ingrid who I will highly recommend to anyone looking to organise their homes and working spaces.”
